A low-impact development competition is underway in Houston, Texas.
The South Central Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association, a founding partner in the Houston Land/Water Sustainability Forum, has announced the competition, which will feature challenges based on three actual Houston-area properties. Entries will be accepted in three categories—suburban residential development, urban redevelopment, and green roadway project.
Registration for the competition closes on October 31, and entries must be received by December 14. Integrated design teams with at least three licensed professionals are eligible to enter. Finalists will be announced in January 2010, and the winning team in each category will receive a $15,000 prize. You can find more information here.
